Journos’ rally for 9th wage board Jan 18

Journalist organisations will stage rallies throughout the country on Wednesday to press home their demand for constituting the 9th wage board.
As part of central programme, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) will stage a rally in front of National Press Club at 11am on January 18, said a BFUJ press release yesterday, signed by its Secretary General Omar Faruque. Journalist leaders said the Information Ministry is making dillydally in forming the ninth wage-board.
Though an assurance was given by the authority concerned that the wage-board would be announced by December 31 last, it is yet to be declared, the release said.
