Leadbetter comes forward to develop golfing skills

Future golf players of Bangladesh have find a way to develop their golfing skills in a very professional method as they would learn the game through world reputed institute- Leadbetter Golf Academy.

And it was Xcite Golf Bangladesh who introduced the training academy at Kurmitola Golf Club. Momin Ud Dowla, the founding chairman of Xcite Golf Bangladesh who met world famous instructor David Leadbetter twice in USA and France before convincing him to take the job in Bangladesh.
Momin stated this at a press conference at Kurmitola Golf Club yesterday noon. He said, “This is the first indoor golf establishment of the country where the budding players of age between four and 12 can pick up their first hand golfing lesson in all seasons.” 
Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Shafiul Huq, formally inaugurated the Leadbetter Golf Academy later in the day as chief guest. Bangladesh Golf Federation (BGF) senior vice-president Major General AKM Abdullah Hel Baquee, BGF general secretary Brig Gen Quazi Shamsul Islam, president of Army Golf Club Major General Hamidur Rahman Chowdhury, CEO of KGC  Brig Gen (retd) Mohd Obaidul Haque, Major (retd) Shahjahan, general manager of LGA Bangladesh were among others present on the occasion.
Leadbetter, who arrived in the capital on Monday, would leave Dhaka tonight, promises to provide professional coaching to all levels and ages of golfers. The 64-year-old Englishman said, “My instructors one each from Great Britain and South Korea and rest others from Bangladesh are eager to tap the untapped golfing  potential of youngsters in Bangladesh, which is known for producing elite professionals in ball sports like cricket and football.” 
Since launching  the first Leadbetter Golf Academy over 30 years ago, David has coached players to 20 major championship title and over 100 individual worldwide tournament victories. Seven of those players have even held first place in the official world golf ranking.
