Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Tuesday said the number of technical education students in the country will mark a rise by 20 per cent by 2021 while 30 per cent by 2030, reports UNB.
Technical education will be expanded across the country since it'll be the main base of our education, he told a views-exchange meeting with officials of Technical and Madrasah Education Division at the Secretariat in the capital yesterday.
The Education Minister said skilled manpower will be built through technical education and they are expected to get jobs abroad.
Acting secretary of Technical and Madrasah Education Division Md Alamgir, and additional secretaries Md Helal Uddin and AKM Zakir Hossain were, among others, present at the meeting.
