63 held with drugs in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR: Police, in special drives from Sunday night to yesterday morning, arrested 63 persons including 18 drug traders, and recovered illegal drugs-
Phensidyl and Yaba tablets from 13 upazilas of the district, reports BSS.Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested 21 persons, Chirirbandar police nine, Phulbari police three, Khansama five, Birganj four, Kaharole two, Birol three,
Bochaganj five, Parbatipur four, Ghoraghat two, Hakimpur police three along with 318 bottles of Phensidyl, Birampur police arrested two accused with 208 pieces of Yaba tablets. Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
