Bangladesh will play a Tri-nation series after the ICC Champions Trophy in June, confirmed BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon.
He said Bangladesh was offered to play the Tri-nation along with the two teams which will be decided from the four teams—Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa.
“I have got this proposal this morning. I confirmed the organsier that Bangladesh would play the series,” he said.
But the BCB president was reluctant to disclose from whom they got the offer and which country will host the tournament.
Most of the assignments of Bangladesh this year will be in abroad and the Tri-series added another in the line.
Papon also confirmed that it would be wrong to expect the national players in this year’s Dhaka Premier League because of their tight international schedule this year.
“Bangladesh would have to play lot of international cricket at home and away this year and so it would be wrong to expect their participation into any local tournament.
The BCB boss however gave a good news to the local players as they want the abolishment of the ‘Players by choice’ system from the premier league.
