Arms seized in C’nawabganj

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered a shooter gun from the frontier Shyampur field area in Shibganj upazila of Chapai-nawabganj district on Saturday afternoon. BGB sources said acting on secret information, a patrol team of BGB from Wahedpur border outpost raided the aforesaid area around 3:40 pm and chased a smuggler coming from the Indian side with a bag. At this, the smuggler fled away leaving the bag. After searching the bag BGB found the gun. Later, the gun was deposited to Shibganj police station.
