A court here yetsreday sent seven officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines to jail on completion of their 8-day remand in a case filed over the glitch in a VVIP flight carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports UNB. Metropolitan Magistrate Amirul Haider Chowdhury passed the order when Inspector of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) M Mahbubul Alam, also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court with a prayer for sending them to jail. The court also rejected the bail petitions of the seven Biman officials. The seven officials are Biman chief engineer Debesh Chowdhury, chief engineer (quality assurance) SS Siddique, principal engineer (system and maintenance) Billal Hossain, engineers Shamiul Haque, Niron Chandra Bishwas, Lutfar Rahman and Zakir Hossain.
