Minister’s call to bring back football’s glory

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) accorded a reception to the Mokh Cup plate championship winners Bangladesh Under-14 national team.

Held at the Samson H Convention Center, Dhaka Club, the Max Group, sponsors of the Under-14 team awarded the players with Taka 20,000 each.
Biren Sikder, State Minister for Youth and Sports was the chief guest. Deputy minister for Arif Khan Joy and Golam Mohammed Alamgir were present as special guests while some of the players of the Shwadhin Bangla football team and the manager were also attended the function.
Sports Minister Biren Sikder in his speech said that he believes that being run the BFF by some of the football stars led by legendary Kazi Mohammed Salahuddin football must regain it’s glory they should take the responsibility.
Sikder also assured the BFF that they provide all out support for the development of football they (BFF) required but the difficulties with the district football arose, BFF would have to solve the problems, NSC or Ministry is not responsible for that.
“I have every belief on those, who run the BFF are very much capable to develop and to bring back the glory of country’s football. But the problems you created with the districts football, you would have to solve.”
“I have talk to the BFF president, we are ready to provide our all out support to you (BFF) for the development of football but there will no development if the football only organised only at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.”
Salahuddin in his address said, It’s not truth that we have no success, but we are trying to bring every success in future, and how can progress with the young footballers, we have talked to the BKSP, how we can get help from the BKSP and it’s other branches across the country.”
“Right now we set a plan with 35 young boys who will be in our camp, it would be a continuous process, as in future some of the players will be included in the camp from the talent hunt program while some of the boys will leave camp, who would fail to prove their talents.
“We have also talked to  Golam Mohammed Alamgir, managing director of the Max Group is our (BFF) great friend, who have been with us and specially, with this team will also continue his helping hands,” said Salahuddin.
Meanwhile, Badal Roy, vice-president and the chairman of the development committee of the BFF, Slam Murshedi, senior vice-president of the BFF also addressed.
