Seminar on e-Commerce held at ULAB
ULAB School of Business (USB) in conjunction with Centre for Enterprise and Society (CES) recently organised a seminar titled ‘e-Commerce in Bangladesh: History and Youth Entrepreneurship Opportunities’ recently at ULAB, says a press release. 
The event was inaugurated by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of ULAB Prof Imran Rahman as well as the Director of CES Sajid Amit, and attended by CES and USB faculties Ahmed Ishtiaque, Adib Sarwar, Wazir F Ahmed, Nazia Chowdhury, Iftakharul Karim, including one of important organisers of the event, Abdul Baten who concluded the session. 
Rezwanul Haque Jami, the vice-president of e-commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB), spoke about the initiation of E-commerce in Bangladesh till the environment at present. He outlined some shortfalls identified in the eco-system, exemplifying global and local opportunistic entrepreneurship stories. 
He sketched out the local culture and the challenges it still poses in the development of E-Commerce in Bangladesh, which according to him are all profitable opportunities. These circumstances can still be overcome in the face of strict governmental restrictions. Jami extended e-CAB’s initiative to help ULAB student entrepreneurs with all the technical assistance they need.

JUISA gets new committee
SAVAR: Jahangirnagar University Indigenous Students Association (JUISA) selected its 35-member new executive body on Sunday. Mongchoang Rakhine Ovey, a 4th year student of Anthropology department under 42 batch, and Jasan Tanchongya, a 3rd year student of Government Politics department under 43 batch, were the president and secretary respectively of the organisation. 
   However, the selection was held through its annual council on the campus while Function Advisor Mamunur Rashid, also Assistant professor of Bangla Department conducted it. 
Among others, Saikat Diyo was selected as senior vice-president, Sourjo Talukdar Borsha and Ina Chakma as vice-president, Umad Chakma as treasurer and Keya Marma as office secretary.
