Police detained five people along with 22,000 yaba tablets from Bayezid and Agrabad area of Chittagong city on Saturday night. The detainees--Apan Mazumder, 35, Deepak Das, 38, Md Selim Uddin, 40, Md Rafiq, 28, and Shirin Sultana, 28.
Police also seized two cars which were used to carry drugs.
Police sources said acting on a tip-off, a team of Bayezid Police conducted a drive in Noyarhat area around 9pm and detained Apan and Deepak, who were on a car, along with 12, 000 yaba tablets.
