Biker killed in road crash

GAZIPUR: A motorcyclist was crushed under a truck on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Konabari area on Joydebpur upazila on Saturday night, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Moktar Hossain, 50, a trainer of Tongi Kishore Unnayan Kendra (KUK).
A Kaliakoir-bound speeding truck hit Moktar while he was riding a motorcycle on his way home from the KUK after iftar he was riding a motorcycle in the area around 7:45, leaving him dead on the spot.
Sub-inspector Mobarok Hossain, in-charge of Konabari police outpost, confirmed the incident.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Gazipur Shaheed Taj Uddin Medical College Hospital.
Police arrested the truck driver and seized the truck.
