Youth found dead in Rangpur
RANGPUR: A group of miscreants killed a youth in Dhap area of the city in the small hours of yesterday, police sources said. The deceased is transport worker Limon Mian, 22, son of Sultan Mian of Khalifapara area in the city.
Police recovered Limon's body from Dhap area and conducted its autopsy at Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue before handing over to his family members yesterday. Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Abdul Kader Zilani told BSS that one suspected killer Manik has so far been arrested and efforts are on to nab the other culprits involved with the murder.
Victim's father Sultan Mian filed a murder case in this connection with Kotwali police station yesterday.
Phensidyl seized in Rajshahi
SYLHET: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh in a drive seized 139 bottles of phensidyl from Boroitoli Road area in Jakiganj upazila on Saturday afternoon.
BGB officials said a team of BGB battalion-41 led by company commander Subedar Mohammad Abdul Hamid conducted drive in the area around 3pm.
