Pitha Mela held in Rajshahi

A Pitha Mela (rice cake fair) was held in the city on Thursday. District Women Business Forum (DWBF), a voluntary organization working for women’s development, organised the event held on the premises of Shah Mukhdum College of the city.

Lawmaker Fazle Hossain Badsha of Rajshahi Sadar constituency inaugurated the mela. Rojety Naznin, President of DWBF presided over the programme.  
A total of twelve organizations, including various educational institutions and members of DWBF set up their stalls at the event.  Housewives of adjacent areas gathered at the mela with different kinds of rice cakes including “Hirdoy Horon, Dim Sundori, Nokshi, Momo Bihari, Chamcham Nokshi, Kulshi, Padmo Saj, Raj Bihari etc.
