Khulna Press Club gets new committee

S M Habib of ATN Bangla was elected president and Arun Saha of Daily Purbanchal and Sheikh Didarul Alam of UNB were elected vice-presidents of Khulna Press Club annual election on Friday.
Acting Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Giasuddin Ahmed announced the result after counting.
Earlier, a total of 93 voters out of 94 cast their votes at Humayun Kabir Balu auditorium from 9 am to 3 pm with one hour break.
The EC also declared tie on the secretary post as two secretary candidates bagged 43 votes each. Seven votes have been cancelled of the post. S M Sahid Hossain of Dakhinanchal Pratidin elected unopposed vice president while Zahidul Islam of Purbanchal elected unopposed treasurer. The other elected executive committee members are joint secretary Hasan Ahmed Molla (Dainik Tathya), three assistant secretaries Anwarul Islam Kazol (Purbanchal), Alamgir Hannan (Manobkantha) and Bappy Khan (Desh Sanjog).
Nine executive members are Professor Ali Ahmed (Dainik Anirban), Dr. Zakir Hossain (Weekly Kolahol), Sheikh Abu Hasan( Weekly Ei Somoy), Md. Anisuzzaman (Morning News), Amirul Islam(DBC television), Mahmud Sohel (Khulnanews.com), Humayun Kabir (Dainik Ajker Tathya) and Harun-ur-Rashid(Dainik Khulnanchal).
