Five eye hospitals fined Tk1.9 lakh

A Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) mobile court fined five eye hospitals and sentenced four people to six months imprisonment for providing treatment in dirty and unhygienic environment as well as operating without specialized doctors, diploma nurses and medical board, reports UNB.
Officials at the Rab-2 headquarters said a Rab-2 team led by its deputy director Dr Md Didarul Alam conducted simultaneous drives in five eye hospitals - Central Specialized Eye hospital and Research Institute, Eye Foundation Cakkhu Hospital, Rohima Eye hospital, Jatrabari Eye hospital and Salahuddin Eye Hospital- in Jatrabari area from 1:00 pm.
