BNP leader Tariqul hospitalised

BNP standing committee member Tariqul Islam was admitted to a city hospital yesterday as he fell sick, reports UNB. The BNP senior leader was taken to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital around 10am after he complained of chest pain, BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told the news agency.
He said Tariqul, a former information minister, has long been suffering from heart diseases, diabetes and old-age complications. The BNP leader has been kept at the CCU of the hospital under Prof Dr Rafiqul Islam.
