Munshiganj: Ferry Services on Shimulia-Kawrakandi route in the Padma River resumed yesterday morning after six hours of disruption caused by dense fog, reports UNB.Giasuddin Patwari, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Shimulia, said the authorities had kept suspended the ferry services on the route from 3.30am to 9.30am yesterday due to poor visibility caused by dense fog. Nine ferries stayed motionless in the middle of the river. About 500 hundred vehicles remained stranded at Paturia and Daolatdia ferry terminal.Later, the ferry services resumed around 9:30am as fog disappeared, said Giasuddin Patwari.
