Feni Soccer stay alive

Soccer Club forced to delay the ending of the JB Bangladesh Premier Football League 2015-16 when they won their do or die encounter against Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra to have a life line to remain in the Professional Football League.

Two second half goals from Shahran Hawladar and Twum Frank steered Soccer Club to win the valuable match against Muktijoddha.    
The league was supposed to end yesterday with Arambagh KS and Team BJMC while the curtain raiser match was held at MA Aziz Chittagong on 24th July with the match of Sheikh Jamal and Arambagh KSA.
This year, the league matches were organised in four different venues across the country.  Apart from Bangabandhu National Stadium Dhaka, MA Aziz Stadium Chittagong, Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium Mymensingh and Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium, Gopalganj Stadium, were the other venues.
Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, who earned 30 points from their previous 21 matches, had an opportunity to claim the third position leaving behind Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club but conceding the defeat had to satisfy with the fourth position.
Muktijoddha were on the title race before the end of the first leg but in the second leg they dropped points in regular interval and derailed from the race, and their last chance to finish on third also fell apart after this defeat.
Despite being wasted an scoring opportunity at the midway of first half with Imran Hossain Rimon’s penalty shot hit the side post on 21st minute, finally they won the match with beautiful strikes from Shahran Hawladar and Twuam Frank. Shahran Hawladar put Feni Soccer into lead on 47th minute with a brilliant left foot volley from the corner of the box (1-0) and Twuam Frank’s powerful header from the edge of the box on a Nira corner found the near post (2-0).
