Army person killed in road accident

A member of Bangladesh Army was killed in a road accident at Khairtola on the Jessore Kaliganj Highway yesterday.
The deceased was was identified as Golam Mostafa, 30, son of Tomijuddin of Jamalpur sadar in Jamalpur district. He was posted at Jessore Cantonment.
According to police sources, Golam Mostafa was returning to his residence in the cantonment from Jessore town on a motorcycle when a Jessore bound truck coming from Kaligonj hit him near Khoirtola. Golam Mostafa was killed on the spot.
Being informed, Kotwali police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent the body to Jessore Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
When contacted, Kotwali Police Station Officer In-charge Shaikh Elias Hossain confirmed the incident and said they could not arrest anybody till filing of this report yesterday night.
