Animated musical comedy Sing hits Star Cineplex

Sing a 2016 American 3D computer-animated musical comedy film produced by Illumination Entertainment, is being screened at the Star Cineplex in the capitals Basundhara Shopping Mall.
Directed and written by Garth Jennings, the film stars the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Tori Kelly, John C Reilly, Taron Egerton and Scarlett Johansson.
In the film Dapper Koala Buster Moon presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. An eternal optimist, and a bit of a scoundrel, he loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Facing the crumbling of his lifes ambition, he takes one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the worlds greatest singing competition. Five contestants emerge: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine.
Universal Studios released the film on December 21.
As of December 27, Sing has grossed $93.1 million in the United States and Canada and $54.4 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $147.4 million, against a production budget of $75 million.
