‘Robber’ beaten to death

A suspected robber was beaten to death by local people at Chabirpaik village in Sundalpur Union under Kabirhat upazila of the district yesterday.
The victim was Sahab Uddin, 35, son of Md Anwar Ahmed of Madhya Chardia village under Sadar upazila of the district. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kabirhat Police Station, Moktar Hossain, said that a gang of robbers, numbering 8-10 entered the houses of Sahabuddin Tahashilder and Dalal Bari around 3:30am.After getting on information from the local Imam, people caught one robber from the area and give him mass beating.
