58 arrested with drugs

DINAJPUR: Police, in special drives from Wednesday night to this morning, arrested 58 persons and recovered 1800 liters of locally made liquor and 208 bottles of contraband Phensidyl syrup from 13 upazilas of the district, reports BSS. Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas. Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested 16 persons with 1800 liters of liquor, Chirirbandar police five, Biral police eight, Phulbari police three with 208 bottles of Phensidyl , Khansama police three, Birganj police three, Kaharole police four, Nawabganj police three, Bochaganj police three, Parbatipur police three, Ghoraghat police two, Hakimpur police four and Birampur police one accused.
