Ctg customs observes VAT Day

CHITTAGONG: Chittagong Customs, Excise and VAT commissionerate on Friday brought out a colourful rally in the city to mark the National Value Added Tax (VAT) Day and VAT Week- 2015.
Chittagong Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate brought out the rally from city's Agrabad area around 9 am with the theme of this year's National VAT Day and VAT Week is "Pay the VAT timely to participate in the development of the country".
To mark the day, the rally was brought out from Agrabad CGO Building area and ended at the same venue after parading different city streets. Chittagong Custom Commissioner Hossain Ahmed inaugurated the rally.
In this connection a discussion meeting was held at Hotel Agrabad on Friday evening with Chittagong Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate Commissioner Golam Kibria in the chair.
