Speakers at a meeting called upon the teachers, guardians and students to work together for ensuring quality education at Boalia Government Primary School in Dingadah of Chuadanga district yesterday. Speakers said dropping out from primary school could not be prevented without attention of teachers, guardians and students. They urged the guardians to stop early marriage of their underage girls.
Md Alauddin, Instructor of Kamlapur PTI, Chuadanga, Anwar Hossain, Assistant professor of Nilfamary Govt College, Osman Goni, Headmaster of Sreekol-Boalia High School, Elias Hossain, executive director of PASS, an NGO, Akkas Ali Mollah, former teacher of primary school and Md Shanti Hossain, Headmaster of Boalia Government Primary school addressed the meeting with Saibur Rahman Kazol, president of managing committee of the school in the chair. Chief guest Anwar Hossain, Assistant Director (M & E) of Primary Education, said teachers should devote themselves in teaching-learning process in the classrooms following new techniques and methods according to the physical and mental growth of the students.
Terming the students of the school as a future power of the nation, he called for ensuring quality education. A guardian of student Abdul Wahid Mollah demanded a new building for the school as education is hampering due to scarcity of space.
