Mohammedan Sporting Club finished the JB Bangladesh Premier League football on 10th position after managing a goalless draw with Uttar Baridhara yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Mohammedan earned 20 points from 22 matches with three wins and 11 draws and suffered defeat in rest of the eight matches.
Baridhara, who have one match to play, earned 18 points from 21 matches while they are still on threat of relegation, as Soccer Club Feni who on 15 points, also the last match to play.
If the Soccer Club will win the match against Muktijoddha, their (Soccer Club) points will be equal to Baridhara and in this circumstances both the sides will have to face in the relegation decider play off match.
The traditional Black and White saw the most worst  result in their 81 years (1936) history while after the Independent, they tasted  the championship of the then Premier League football for 12 times.
In the professional arena began in 2007, Mohammedan could manage the runners-up trophy of first three editions in 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 since then their downtrend started.
Mohammedan, even failed to win the league title for last 14 years when last time they celebrated the title victory in 2002 while the sixth place was their previous lowest position in the professional league 2010-11 season. And overall Mohammedans’ worst result was in 1974 when they failed to qualify for super league and finished ninth,
However, this year they have been struggling from the beginning as they could manage only one win and six draws in the first leg and in the second leg, won two and drew in five matches to amassed 20 points from 22 outings.
I fact Mohammedan were enough lucky to have the exit from danger area when Soccer Club went down to BJMC by 1-2 in their crucial encounter against BJMC and the result just clear way for Mohammedan to go save side.
However, on the day, though the match was not important for Mohammedan to obtain points but for Uttar Baridhara was more than essential to win to earn three points to run away from the relegation.
Baridhara, who returned to Premier League this year after being relegated in 2013-14 worked hard throughout 90 minutes for the most coveted three points, despite boosting up the chance failed to win the match.
The first chance came to Mohammedan’s way when an effort of Pouemi Landry returned to play hitting the cross piece on ninth minute.
Baridhara, who have better ball possession, produced their first opportunity on 24th minute but it was very much disappointing when their Guinean defender Sylla Mansa’s close range header on Khalekuzzaman corner kick hit the cross piece.
But the hard worker relegation threatened Baridhara had another opportunity at the late hour but a powerful attempt of Lima was saved from the goal-line.
