Woman strangled

A woman was strangled allegedly by her husband at Sirirchala village of Gazipur sadar upazila over a trifling matter on Friday night.
The victim was identified as Falani Akter Arzu, 18, daughter of late Sharafat Ullah in Sataish area of Tongi.
She was wife of Joinal Abedin, of Moodibari village of Barmi Union under Sreepur upazila in Gazipur.
SI of Hotapara police out post under Joydebpur police station Mohammed Azharul Islam said Joynal Abedin locked into an altercation with his wife Arzu on Friday night over a family feud.
At one stage, Joynal strangled his wife and left the house after kept her body on the floor.
