Live-fire exercises held to celebrate five years of Mekong joint patrols

Recently, military reviews and live-fire combat exercises were held at  Xishuangbanna‘s Jinghong Harbor in celebration of the fifth anniversary of joint patrols by China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand(CLMT).

Ten vessels from China and Laos, including patrol, convoy, assault and crew boats, carried out drills of designed to cope with disruptive events on the Mekong River. Nearly 200 people from the delegations of China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, as well as members of the Mekong River Joint Law Enforcement Team, watched the activity.
