JS body on planning ministry holds 29th meeting

The 29th meeting of Parlia-mentary Standing Committee on Planning Ministry was held yesterday at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with committee Chairman Abul Kalam Azad presiding, said an official release.
Standing Committee Mem-bers Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Shawkat Ali, Maj (Retd) Rafiqul Islam and M Tajul Islam attended the meeting. State Minister for Planning MA Mannan joined the meeting at special invitation, reports BSS.
The meeting recommended the ministry to take necessary steps to further activate and improve the activities of Social Science Research Council under the ministry.
It held discussions on Bangladesh Unnayan Gobeshana Protisthan Bill 2016 and recommended placing the bill in the next meeting for necessary amendments and modifications.
Senior officials concerned were present at the meeting.
