Zahid Hossain sparkled after a long time as Sheik Russel Krira Chakra downed Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 5-1 to take sweet revenge of their first leg defeat in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League in Dhaka yesterday.
Russel after winning the match closed the gap with the league leaders Sheikh Jamal and also went to the second position with bringing the points tally to 29 from 13 matches. Russel, who were very unfortunate to drop points in the last match of the first leg to Rahmatganj with a 1-1 draw, began the second leg afresh with crossing big hurdles defeating Brothers and Mohammedan Sporting Club in successive matches.
