Titas gas revenue up by 38pc

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited had earned 38.68 per cent more revenue in 2015-16 fiscal than the previous one. 

In 2015-16 fiscal Titas Gas earned Tk 11,317.10 crore by selling 16,583.33 million cubic meter of gas. It had made a net profit of 970.02 before tax and Tk 729.39 crore after tax.
The information was revealed during the 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the bank held at the Officers Club at the capital.
The AGM approved 20 per cent cash dividend against per Tk 10 share for the 2015-16 fiscal.
The earning per share (EPS) is Tk 7.37 per Tk 10 share. 
Titas Gas has provided Tk 436.60 crore to the government exchequer in the 2015-16 fiscal. 
Nazimuddin Chowdhury, secretary of Energy and Mineral Resources Division presided over the AGM attended by the directors and shareholders.
