Tk 1,433cr booking orders at REHAB fair

The five-day winter REHAB fair 2016 has received Tk 1,433 crore 50 lakh in booking orders, according to the association’s statistics.   

Manager Media and PR of Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) Abdur Rashid Babu said 24 thousand 921 tickets were sold during this fair, which is worth approximately Tk 12 lakh 46 thousand.
It is anticipated that around 25,000 thousand visitors visited the realtors’ fair during the five days.      
The REHAB statistics shows total 520 flats have been booked by the buyers, which worth the market price of Tk 416 crore.
The media manager of Rehab also informed that 145 plots have already been booked by the buyers from this fair, which is worth Tk 72 crore 50 lakh. 
Throughout the fair, the demand of the commercial space has always been so lucrative by the realtors. Some 14 commercial places which is worth Tk 28 crore has already been booked from the buyers. 
30 financial institutions with building material companies have participated in this fair.  They have financed Tk 917 crore to the borrower or potential buyers in the fair while the total amount Tk 1433 crore 50 lakh was funded by all the banks.      
The REHAB fair 2016 was started with a message of “Dreamy accommodation in green country, red and green Bangladesh”. REHAB was the sole organiser of this 5-day fair.  
Renowned real estate companies have offered different packages and facilities for the customers of one time payment. 
While asking the question of booking rate of ready made flats, Amzad Hossain a realtor of a renowned company, replied that three flats have been already booked with the buyers in the last two days and three more flats are in the pipeline. 
“The lowest price that we charge for per square feet for flat is in between Tk 5,800 to Tk 20, 000, depending on the area of the capital,” Amzad Hossain added.
The demand for small and medium size flat in this fair was inevitable. 
Attractive gifts have been given to the raffle draw winners on the basis of the fee on the entry ticket.

According to the association this year, around 175 stalls, 24 cosponsor companies and 30 financial institutions with building material companies have been participated in this fair.
The association also informed that the fair also offers some of the spot facilities where buyers will have the convenience to purchase flats within their affordability.     
Another participant from a renowned real estate company has said that 15 to 10 per cent on the spot discount have been paid to the buyers, but completely depending on the situation. 
This fair has been managed to house a lot of renowned real estate companies; Amin Mohammad Group, Comprehensive Holdings Ltd, Eastern Housing Ltd, Dom-Inno Developments Ltd are among them.
