38 to vie for 15 posts in Ctg Press Club polls

A total of 38 candidates will vie for the 15 posts of Chittagong Press Club biennial election slated to be held on December 31, 2016.
The election commission formed for the election yesterday has published a final list of candidates.
For the post of president three personsformer press club president Ali Abbas, former general secretary Ezaz Yousufi, and incumbent president Kalim Sarwar are vying while Kazi Abul Mansur and Nazim Uddin Shymol for senior-vice president and Manjur Quader, Md Abid Hossain and SM Ibrahim are competing for the post of vice-president.
Md Khurshed Alam, Hasan Ferdous, Suklal Das and Salauddin Reza are vying for the post of general secretary. For the post of joint-secretary are vying Farid Uddin Chowdhury and Mohsin Kazi.
For treasure vying Alamgir Sabuj, Taposh Barua Runu and Devdulal Bhowmik, cultural secretary---Kalyan Chakrabarty, Shaidullah Shahrir while Gloam Mowla Murad and Nazrul Islam are vying for the post of sports secretary.
Md Showkat Osman, Md Shaidul islam and Rashed Mahmud for the post of library secretary, Kamal Uddin Khokon, Mohammad Shah Azam, Ruksarul Islam for social welfare and entertainment Secretary, Mintu Chowdhury and Hossain Tofique for publication secretary are vying in the election.
