Cycle rally protests Rampal power project

RANGPUR: Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal, Rangpur unit brings out cycle rally in the city yesterday demanding cancellation of Rampal power project to save the Sunderbans.

The procession began from Rangpur Press Club and rounded up different streets of the city later ended at press club. A meeting was also held in front of Rangpur Press Club. Anwar Hossain Bablu, District Coordinator, BSD, was in chair. 
The speakers threatened the government to withdraw the decision to construct the power station at Rampal or they will hold mass movement.
