NU masters exams form fill up begins on Jan 2
The filling up of forms for Masters Irregular and Improvement (Old syllabus) Examinations-2014 of National University (NU) will begin on January 2, 2017 and continue till January 9. Detailed information regarding the form fill up is available on the university website www.nubd.info/mf and www.nu.edu.bd, a NU press release said.
12th JUDO anniv celebration begins  
Savar: Jahangirnagar University Debate Organisation (JUDO) is organising a 3-day celebration prgoramme on the campus from yesterday marking its 12th anniversary.
Muksimul Ahsan Opu, the former president of this debating organisation and also the convener of the 3-day debate festival, disclosed it by a press conference.
The three-day celebration programme is featured by a reunion of former JUDO members, a captivating cultural event, colorful procession, delightful debate, exhibition debate, Fanush fest, honorary of freedom fighter, and charge hand over programme.
Among others, JUDO President Sheikh Rahat Rahman, former vice-president Zafor Sadik, Vice-President Ibrahim, general secretary Sahinur Rahman, Press and Media secretary Sahila Rahman Ema were presented at the press meet. Mentionable, JUDO is a nationally recognized debate organisation started its journey on December 23, 2005.  
BAU Rotaract Club distributes blanket
 ‘Rotaract Club of Agri. Varsity’ of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh on Wednesday distributed blankets among the cold affected people of the nearby area and also the hall dining workers on the campus.
Students Affairs Adviser of BAU Prof Dr SD Chawdhury distributed the blankets attending the programme as the chief guest, held at the open platform of the university. BAU proctor Prof Dr AKM Zakir Hossain attended the programme as the special guest.
President of Mymensingh Roteract Club Shaokot Hossain, former director of BAU Graduate Training Institute Prof Dr Masuma Habib, professor of Poultry Science department Prof Dr Suvas Chandra Das, members of BAU rotary club a were also present, among others.
JU cultural organisation ‘Dhoni’ gets new committee
A recital based renowned cultural organisation of Jahangirnagar University (JU) ‘Dhoni’ gets a-14 member new executive body for 2017 session making Saiful Islam Akash and Farzana Keya president and secretary respectively.
This new committee was made through ‘Two Decade anniversary and Poetry Recital Festival -2016 programme’ here on the campus amid festivity yesterday.
The other members are- Sadia Sazzad Bonhi as Vice President, Shahidul Islam Pappu as Assistant General Secretary, Sohanur Rashid Moon as Organizing Secretary, Tomal Nag as Assistant org Secretary, Zahid Hasan as Finance Secretary, Toma Ishrat as Press Secretery, Rubaiya Nasrin Sejuti as Literature Secretary and Taslima Khan Ponni as Office Secretary.
Later, the organization honored famous poet Asad Chowdhury on this occasion.
