Customs seizes car of ILO official
The Customs intelligence has seized a car belonging to Internal Labour Organisation(ILO) official Kishore Kumar Singh for misusing duty free facilities. This was confirmed by Director General of the customs intelligence Dr Mainul Khan yesterday. Earlier, Kishore Kumar Singh, a senior skills development specialist in Bangladesh, was asked to surrender his vehicle by yesterday in a letter sent by the customs on December 19, underlining that they have specific evidence that he had been misusing the duty free facilities that he obtained while working in the UNDP. But the official continued to use its registration number after joining the ILO office, it said. The sources said that it was in violation of the customs act.
