Aashish Khan performs at Chhayanaut today

Music Alliance World Wide (MAWW) is going to celebrate its 6th Classical Music Conference 2016 today and on December 27 at two separate venues. The first day of the festival is going to present Of Roots and Melody: Stories and Sarode by Ustad Aashish Khan at Chhayanaut Bidyaatan Auditorium at 6pm today.
The central attraction of todays musical event is Ustad Ashish Khan, playing Maihar Style Sarod and his storytelling. Aashish Khan is a distinguished Sarode artist from India. He comes from a family of notable musicians in the realm of Indian classical music. He is the grandson of Ustad Allauddin Khan (was born in Shibpur, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh), son of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, and nephew of Annapurna Devi. Ustad Shahadat Hossain Khan and UstadYusuf Ali Khan will also play Sarod and Tabla accordingly at this event.
On the other hand, the second day of this festival is going to present Young Fiesta of Indian Classical Music Series-5: Dhun of Victory by various young and talented musicians from both Bangladesh and India at Alliance Francaise de Dhaka in the capitals Dhanmondi on December 27.
