Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) yesterday (Thursday) filed a case against SB Corporation for allegedly carrying Chinese electronics products which worth 70 lakh from Chittagong port in Chittagong under miss-declaration.
According to source, earlier this month an importer organization named SB Corporation imported declaring oil, air filters, pistons and drilling machines (No. 1295218) from China. The company against the declaration paid revenue of Tk2, 14,000 by its C&F agent Hasina Enterprise.
Acting on trip-off on Sunday CIID held the consignment. After completing the physical examination the customs found the company imported Mobile items, IP cameras, Ink for photocopy machines and cameras of different brands under without any declaration, said CIID.
