The nation is set to recall with profound respect Jananeta Abdur Razzak, a Awami League leader and one of the organisers of the Liberation War, as his fifth death anniversary is going to be observed today, reports BSS.
Razzak, who dedicated his long chequered political life to self-determination, independence, peace and social freedom of Bangalees, breathed his last at Kings College Hospital in London on December 23 in 2011 while undergoing treatment there. In observance the 5th death anniversary, central leaders of Bangladesh Awami League will place wreaths at his grave at Banani Graveyard at 9 am today.
Later they will offer fateha and join a milad mahfil there. AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader has requested leaders and workers of the party to be present.
Abdur Razzak Foundation and Abdur Razzak Smriti Sangsad will arrange a three-day photography exhibition on the life and works of Abdur Razzak at TSC at Dhaka University from December 24-26.
