RU to build Liberation War research cell soon

A full-fledged Research Cell on Liberation War will be built at the Rajshahi University (RU) soon as university syndicate body approved the proposal from the 449th meeting yesterday. Such cell will be for the first time in the country, sources said.

Prof Shafiqunnabi Samadi, administrator of RU central library said that there is no full or organised research centre or cell about Language Movement in 1952, Mass Uprising of 1969 and Liberation War in 1971 in the country. That’s why university authorities have taken to establish such cell at the central library.
With a view to preserving the rare documentaries, films, music, newspapers, magazines, and brochures on these issues the authorities will establish the cell.
“Different forms of PDF newspapers will be added here in the future”. As a result, the researcher in our great independence war will get many elements together down a roof those are necessaries for their research activities. Although in RU central library, there is variety of books-journal on liberation. 
But these remained scattered in different places these are not adequate for the researchers. In addition, there have much and more books, journals and references at different departments-institutions in the university.
At the primary stage, central library authority will collect these books-documents, text, and information for the newly research cell.
