Criminal held with firearms

Chittagong: Police arrested a listed criminals with a country made gun and two round bullets from the Panwalapara area of Doublemooring thana in the early hours yesterday, reports BSS.
The arrested was identified as Sagir Ahmed, 34, son of Zalal Ahmed driver, hailed from Hajipara area in Chittagong. 
A team of Doublemooring thana police on secrete information arrested Sagir from his rented residence at Hira Colony of Panwalapara area of Doublemooring thana here at 2 am.  
Later, police recovered a country-made gun and two bullets from his possession. Seven cases were pending against Sagir with different police stations, police said.

A woman was crushed under the wheels of a running train in city's Kodomtoli area on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shamsun Nahar, 50, wife of Bacchu Meah, hailed from Nangalkot upazila under Comilla district.
Railway police sources said a Dhaka-bound Karnaphuli Express train crushed Nahar under its wheels while she was crossing the railway tracks at the said area at around 11am.
