The Public Private Partnership (PPP) Authority under the Prime Minister’s Office, and Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK), signed an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group, for providing PPP Transaction Advisory Services in developing a water supply and sewerage network, drainage and solid waste management system in the Purbachal new town area through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, says a press release.
The signing ceremony was held at a hotel in the capital on Sunday and. Senior officials from the PPP Authority, RAJUK, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Housing and Public Works and other departments of the government were present on the occasion.
As part of the project, IFC will carry out project specific technical, financial and legal due diligence, transaction structuring, market outreach, and the preparation of tender documents. IFC will also support the PPP Authority and RAJUK throughout the bidding process through to the signing of the PPP Contract Agreement.
