Fire Service Week begins in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ: The Fire Service and Civil Defence Week-2016 was began here on Sunday with an attractive display, reports BSS.On the occasion, a discussion meeting was held at the premises of Government Debendra College.
Deputy Commissioner of Manikganj Rashida Ferdouse attended the function as the chief guest while Govt. Debendra College Vice-Principal Professor Ashrafunnesa in the chair.
Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad Md. Zahangir Hossain, Gazi Quamrul Huda Selim, Mayor of Manikganj Pourasabha, Dr. Md. Imran Ali, Civil Surgeon (CS), Ferdous Ahmed, District Commandant of Ansars and VDP among others, spoke on the occasion.The speakers appreciated the service of Fire Fighters during the devastating fire, accident and natural disaster.
The present government has arranged a professional training about 62 thousand volunteers to help the fire fighters throughout the country.
