A woman was beaten to death allegedly her co-wife and her son at village Suvorara in Abhoynagore upazila of Jessore district on Saturday night. The deceased was Nazma Begum, 35, wife of Sarwar hossain, 50. When contacted, officer-in-charge of Abhoynagore police station Anisur Rahman said on Saturday night Nazma and her co-wife Reshma Begum, 38, got engaged in a quarrel over family feud. At one stage, Reshman and her son Rahim molla, 20, hit Nazma with an iron rod leaving her injured seriously. Later, she was sent to 250 bedded General Hospital in Khulna but she died on the way.
On information, police recovered the body yesterday morning and sent it to Jessore 250 bedded General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A murder case was filed by the brother of the victim Mannan Sheikh accusing five people including, Sarwar Molla, his son Rahim Molla, his first wife Reshma Begum, his daughter Tania in this connection. Police could not arrest any body till fling of this report as all the family members fled away from the house after the incident.
