Girl ‘commits suicide’ in Nilphamari

Nilphamari: A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a jackfruit tree over a trifling matter at Mirzaganj Mafiz para in Domar upazila yesterday, reports UNB. Quoting family members of the girl, police said Munni Akter, an examinee of Primary and Ebtedayee Terminal Examination and daughter of Afiz Uddin, was scolded by his father over talking with someone over mobile phone for a long time on Saturday night. Later, Munni was found hanging from a jackfruit tree beside her house. On information, police went to the spot and recovered the hanging body of Munni and sent it to Sadar Hopsital morgue for autopsy.
