Netrokona: A man was hacked to death allegedly by his nephew at Baushal Paschimpara village in Kalmakanda upazila on Saturday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Shahjahan, 45, a resident of the same village. Officer-in-charge of Kalmakanda Police Station Abu Bakkar Siddique said Jasim, younger brother of Shahjahan, and his son Ridoy locked in an altercation over a family matter in the afternoon. As Shahjahan intervened to resolve the matter, his nephew Ridoy hacked him with a sharp weapon, leaving him injured. Later, he was taken to Kalmakanda Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead. Police also arrested Ridoy in this connection.
