Shahid hopes to play Test against NZ

While pacer Mohammad Shahid passes a busy time in practice in Dhaka to make him fit, the 23-member national team reached  Auckland Airport in New Zealand after ending their eight-day conditioning camp in Australia.

Shahid is considered as the effective bowler in Test and now keeps going to prove him as the effective bowler for the other formats of games. And so team management prepared a discrete plan surrounding him ahead of the year-ending away series against New Zealand.
The paceman outstandingly bowled for Dhaka Dynamites in the just concluded T20 tournament of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He was in race of taking the highest number of wickets what he was doing in perfect ways. He scalped 15 wickets from eight matches before being sidelined with knee injury.
“I miss a lot to the national team. I was scheduled to stay in New Zealand but now I am at academy. Everything was good. Allah does what is good for people. I don’t know I will be suddenly fallen in injury while trying to stop a ball with a full length dive. There is nothing to do. I have to accept the lot,” said Mohamad Shahid.
The right-handed pacer sustained injury during the fielding against the match of Comilla Victorians on November 26. It had been witnessed in primary observation after doing an MRI that he has been hit anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. He had then been given a rest for the next three-four weeks suggested by BCB chief physician Dr Debashish Chowdhury. 
Shahid started his rehabilitation since Sunday for not having pain in his knee. Considering his future career, doctors suggested him to underway surgery. He himself knows better if he did surgery he will be fully recuperated. But he is reluctant to do surgery.
It is learnt from Shahid that Debashis Chowdhury, who is now in Australia, will return home today and then deliver a final decision after observing him.
