Brothers Union returned to winning ways after defeating Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-1 yesterday in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Mannaf Rabbi scored one and set up another for Augustin Walson as they tasted their sixth victory in 20 matches.
Uttar Baridhara, who have been gradually increasing their chance to sidestep the relegation, had another chance to gather a point.
If Baridhara could finish the match level with Brothers Union, they could go five points clear of the other relegation struggler Soccer Club Feni.
But despite keeping Brothers at bay (1-1) up to 86th minute, they conceded another goal on 87th minute to suffer the 14th defeat, though they are still four points ahead of Soccer Club and now their collection stay at   19 points.
For Baridhara, the match was very much important to obtain points and also appeared with the fighting attitude and enjoyed ball possession almost evenly but failed to earn the valuable points.
However, after a tough encounter of goalless first half, Mannaf Rabbi made the breakthrough on 60th minute for Brothers (1-0).
Baridhara strongly bounced back after conceding the goal to keep Brothers under tremendous pressure and equalised the margin on 70th minute with Sylla Mansa scored the goal and brightened the hope to bring at least one valuable point for the team.
But the All Yellows, who looked a bit desperate to return to winning way, made it a success through Augustin Walson when the Nigerian left unmarked very closer to the goal-line, netted a right side cross from Mannaf Rabbi on 87th minute to finish on 2-1.
MUKTIS WIN
Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Sangha blanked Rahmatganj MFS by 2-0 to earn the eighth victory in the JB Bangladesh Premier League football in the day’s second match.
Muktijoddha took the lead with an own goal on 32nd minute when Mehbud Hassan Nayan trying to clear an Ahmed Kolo Musa’s long range shot, send the ball in his own net (1-0).
The high flying Rahmatganj, who suffered their first defeat in their 11th match, last match of the first leg suffered the seventh defeat.
Bipul doubled the advantage for Muktijoddha in the very second minute after the break when he powered a 30 meters long range right footer to beat the goalkeeper (2-0).
By virtue of the win, Muktijoddha went on fourth position with 29 points leaving behind Rahamtganj who earned 27 points from 20 matches.
