KHULNA: The government is going to set up Bangabandhu Eco Park on the bank of the Kazibachha River between Mathabhanga and Jabusa areas in Batiaghata upazila, reports UNB.
A five-member team, led by member of parliament of Khulna-1 constituency Panchanan Biswas, visited the proposed area for the eco park on Saturday.
During the visit, Khulna divisional commissioner M Abdus Samad said the Eco Park will be built on some 35.86 acres of land.
Samad said as the park will be built adjacent to the river, the visitors will also enjoy river cruise.
Besides, there will be fish aquarium, fish museum, sanctuary and an arrangement for showing documentary on the Sundarbans, he added.
The park will attract travelers from across the country for its special features and natural beauty, the divisional commissioner said.
