Police arrested a total of 57 people in two districts on Friday night.In Narail, police in several drives arrested 21 people including a poura Shibir secretary Abbas Ali on various charges from the four upazilas of the district on Friday night, reports BSS.Police arrested them from different areas of the upazilas. During the drives, Narail Sadar police arrested six people, Lohagara police eight, Kalia police four and Naragati police arrested three persons.
Several cases are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, said superintendent of police Sarder Rakibul Islam.
In Satkhira, police, in special drives from Friday night to this morning, arrested 36 persons on various charges from seven upazilas of the district, reports BSS.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 15 people, Kalaroa police eight, Tala police four, Kaliganj police three, Shyamnagar police two, Assasuni police two, Debhata police one and Patkelghata police arrested one accused.
