11 human skeletons seized in Rajshahi

Members of BGB, 1 battalion of Rajshahi seized human skeletons including 11 skulls from Char Majardiar village under Paba upazila of the district on Saturday. BGB sources informed that action on a tip off, they came to know that some smugglers were waiting at near Purbo Para frontier area of Char Majardiar village with human skeletons for trafficking in India. Based on this information, a regular patrol-team of BGB 1 battalion led by Commander Nayeb Subeder Arshad Ali along with his five members raided that area and recovered 11 human skulls and huge bone fragments from there. But sensing the presence of BGB, those peddlers managed to flee from the spot. That is why; they failed to arrest anyone in this connection. The price of those skeletons is estimated Tk. One lakh 60 thousand, BGB source said. Meanwhile, those skeletons will put forward at Rajshahi customs office, the source added.
